Oman Camel Cameo These shy, towering and carefree camels stood at the entrance of a house where I stopped for a brief stopover, just a little out of Muscat. Witnessing them in the midst of the cityscape, flanked by well-baked mountains was quite a treat for sure! Obviously, they are not a rare sight in Oman but I didn’t really expect to see them lazing in the urban surrounding, treating themselves to their green diet and soaking in the warmth of the smiling sun. I am definitely heading back to witness the camel-racing event where camels race against each other at a speed of 64 km per hour!
