Imrab Rabies Vaccine

Imrab Rabies Vaccine for Horses Cattles & Sheep. IMRAB 3 and IMRAB 3 TF contain the same virus strain that is used in the Pasteur Merieux Connaught human rabies vaccine. The virus is grown in a stable cell line, inactivated, and mixed with a safe and potent adjuvant. Safety and immunogenicity of this product have been demonstrated by vaccination and challenge tests in susceptible animals.

When it comes to rabies prevention, there’s no room for compromise. IMRAB 3 is the only vaccine that provides proven rabies protection for 6 animal species: dogs, cats, horses, cattle, sheep, and ferrets

IMRAB  3 is also approved as a 3-year rabies vaccine for sheep and a 1-year rabies vaccine for horses, cattle, and ferrets.
IMRAB  3 TF is also approved as a 1-year rabies vaccine for ferrets.

Rabies Vaccine For Animals

IMRAB 3: This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy cats, dogs, sheep, cattle, horses, and ferrets, 12 weeks of age and older, against rabies virus. The duration of immunity is at least 3 years for cats, dogs, and sheep; and at least 1 year for ferrets, cattle, and horses.

IMRAB 3 TF: This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy cats, dogs, and ferrets, 12 weeks of age and older, against rabies virus. The duration of immunity is at least 3 years for cats and dogs; and at least 1 year for ferrets.

 

Animals Rabies Vaccine Dosage And Administration

IMRAB 3: Shake well before use. Aseptically inject 1 mL (1 dose) subcutaneously or intramuscularly into healthy dogs or cats; 2 mL into healthy sheep, cattle, and horses. Inject 1 mL subcutaneously into healthy ferrets. Revaccinate ferrets, cattle, and horses annually; cats, dogs, and sheep 1 year after first vaccination, then every 3 years with a single dose.

 

IMRAB 3 TF: Shake well before use. Aseptically inject 1 mL (1 dose) subcutaneously or intramuscularly into healthy cats or dogs. Revaccinate 1 year later, then every 3 years. Inject 1 mL (1 dose) subcutaneously into healthy ferrets. Revaccinate ferrets annually.

 

Rabies Vaccine For Pets Precaution

 

IMRAB 3: 
Precautions: Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives. Do not vaccinate food-producing animals within 21 days prior to slaughter. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. A transient local reaction may occur at the injection site following subcutaneous administration. Some reports suggest that in cats, the administration of certain veterinary biologicals may induce the development of injection-site fibrosarcomas. In rare instances, administration of vaccines may cause lethargy, fever, and inflammatory or hypersensitivity types of reactions. Treatment may include antihistamines, anti-inflammatories, and/or epinephrine as directed by a veterinarian. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

Store at 2-8°C (35-46°F). Do not freeze. Do not use chemicals to sterilize syringes and needles. Do not mix with other products. Use entire contents when first opened.

For use in animals only. Restricted to use by or under the direction of a veterinarian.
