Prednisolone injection  is a corticosteroid that may be used to reduce inflammation and calm down an overactive immune system. It works by mimicking the effects of cortisol, a hormone released by the adrenal glands (located on top of the kidneys) that regulates metabolism and stress. Prednisolone prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation.

Prednisolone Indications For Use

Prednisolone crystalline suspension is used as a supportive treatment in ketosis, rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis inflammatory and allergic conditions in large and small animals.

Prednisolone has predominantly glucocorticoid activity, which means it mainly affects our immune response and reduces inflammation, rather than affecting the body’s balance of electrolytes and water (this is called mineralocorticoid activity).

 

Dosage And Administration:

For systemic treatment, Prednisolone 2.5% injection is given deep into muscle Intrafer-200 B12 100ml

Cattle: 5-20 ml

Calves: 2.5-5 ml

Piglets, dogs, cats: 1-3 ml
