Potomavac Vaccine
Potomavac Equine Vaccine is a potomac horse fever vaccine for the vaccination of healthy horses, 3 months of age or older, against Potomac Horse Fever (PHF) caused by E. risticii. Give 1 ml intramuscular and repeat in three to four weeks. Revaccinate annually with 1 ml dose. Order syringes and needles separately.

Dosage And Administration
Shake well before use. Aseptically inject 1 mL (1 dose) intramuscularly (IM) into healthy horses 3 months of age or older.
Revaccinate with a second 1mL dose intramuscularly 3-4 weeks later.
Revaccinate annually or prior to anticipated exposure.

- Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives
In rare instances, administration of the Potomavac Equine Vaccine may cause lethargy, fever, and inflammatory or hypersensitivity types of reactions. Treatment may include antihistamines, anti-inflammatories, and/or epinephrine. Vaccinating animals whose immune response is compromised by stress, disease, etc. may not produce the desired results. This product has not been tested in pregnant mares.
